Un magazine qui mêle fiches techniques, portraits, nouveautés et qui fait la part belle aux différents styles de scrap. Rencontre avec Béatrice Garni, sa rédactrice en chef.

 

Bonjour Béatrice, pourriez-vous présenter le magazine que vous dirigez, Esprit scrapbooking ?

Nous avons fondé le magazine à la rentrée 2007. La maison d’édition Neptune diffusion souhaitait créer un journal lié aux loisirs créatifs. Je suis infographiste de formation et je scrappais déjà depuis plusieurs années lorsque ce projet est arrivé. L’essor du scrap en France nous a permis de trouver notre place en proposant quelque chose de nouveau. Nous ne nous contentons pas de publier une simple galerie de pages sur papier, mais en offrant des fiches techniques, des portraits, des essais de produits. Nous sommes pour cela, très attentifs aux avis des lectrices.


Esprit scrapbboking va être une source d’inspiration …

Je pense qu’on sort du scrap pur. Les filles font un peu de tout et se servent de tout ce qu’elles savent faire pour décorer leurs pages et cartes. Une fille comme Virginie Wurtz qui fait du tricot et du crochet va se servir de ça pour son scrap. Comme le matériel est cher, les gens recherchent des choses à faire eux-mêmes. On n’utilise plus uniquement les produits dédiés au scrap mais aussi des embellissements ou des structures que l’on a soi-même réalisés et pour ça les fiches techniques sont un bon support. On apprend à faire ses fonds de pages avec des masks, des tampons …


Aujourd’hui, que conseilleriez-vous à quelqu’un qui veut commencer le scrap ?

Il me semble que l’essentiel est d’avoir un outil de découpe (cutter et règle en fer, ou massicot), un tapis de coupe à la bonne taille c’est à dire au moins en 30x30cm, de bons adhésifs et quelques perforatrices pour embellir ses pages ou minis albums. Et aussi quelques tampons et deux bonnes encres comme la Versamark® et la Staz’On®. Pour les tampons, il est important de bien réfléchir avant d’acheter. C’est un peu comme pour la mode, les goûts changent alors c’est important d’avoir des tampons qu’on pourra utiliser longtemps. Et pour les papiers, c’est bien d’acheter un kit, ça évite le casse-tête pour assortir les couleurs.

En quoi un magazine comme le vôtre sera utile ?

On va donner des bases, expliquer des techniques, donner de l’inspiration en montrant un sketch, une mise en pages. Beaucoup de filles qui commencent n’ont pas forcément le feeling pour accorder les photos avec les papiers, les embellissements. Les sketches sont un bon moyen de commencer. Les challenges aussi, ça pousse à se lancer. On donne un point de départ, et après l’idée est de s’inspirer sans copier. Et puis on fait découvrir les nouveautés à travers des tests de produits, et dans le cahier central on offre des étiquettes pour embellir pages, cartes et albums. Sur le blog il y a souvent des embellissements à télécharger.


Trouvez-vous que le scrap est en constante évolution ?

Rien que dans le choix du matériel, le scrap évolue perpétuellement. On commence à avoir une grande variété de marques françaises sur les papiers, les tampons … Ça suit toujours la mode et régulièrement un nouveau style prend le dessus. Dans le magazine on essaie de mettre tous les styles. J’aime bien innover, découvrir et essayer de nouvelles techniques, ne pas stagner.

Vous sortez combien de numéros chaque année ?

On publie un nouveau numéro tous les deux mois et deux hors-séries dans l’année en mai et en novembre. On prépare chaque numéro avec une saison d’avance alors là, on travaille sur celui du mois d’août.

Des idées pour aujourd’hui et pour deux mains ?

En dehors du magazine je crochète et j’essaye de m’améliorer en voyant ce que fait Virginie Wurtz. Je fais des petites fleurs en crochet.

Et si comme toutes les fées des contes vous aviez un super pouvoir, ce serait ?

Avoir la capacité d’entreprendre tout ce qui me ferait plaisir : tricot, couture …
