Le plus dur c'est de faire son choix!

Ah ! Les rubans… Qui ne les conserve pas ? Autour d’un paquet cadeau, vite on le récupère et s’il est assez grand il deviendra peut-être un joli nœud dans les cheveux ou la coulisse d’un col de tunique. On les connaît à gros grain, en satin, en dentelle car il s’agit de ceux qu’on rencontre le plus souvent. On est tombées dans la caverne d’Alibaba de la rubanerie sur le site de Tendance Ruban. ʺSésame, ouvre-toiʺ c’est le bruit du clic de notre souris lorsqu’on arrive sur un site comme celui-ci. Avec plus de 200 références, autant vous dire qu’on a eu des vertiges.

Le génie éclairé de Tendance Ruban est Véronique Job et on l’envie énormément d’être entourée de tous ces mètres de rubans. Elle a accepté de partager avec nous quelques mètres de ses jolis rubans pour qu’on puisse vous proposer un DIY (Do it Yourself) accessible à tous et à toutes. Mais avant de tout vous dire, parlons des rubans. Un mot : exceptionnel. Déjà pour la qualité des rubans tissés dont on sent la différence au toucher. Outre la superbe qualité, les couleurs sautent aux yeux et les motifs sont très originaux. Ces derniers sont justement créés par des designers américains en exclusivité pour Renaissance Ribbons: Kaffe Fassett, Amy Butler ou encore Philip Jacobs. La liste est longue et on a plaisir à retrouver sur des rubans les motifs et les thèmes de certains de leurs tissus. On peut d’ailleurs naviguer sur le site en passant de designer en designer et si on cherche quelque chose en particulier on se promène dans les catégories : bohème, graphique, fleuri, enfant, gourmand…

ʺC’est bien beau les rubans, mais on fait quoi avec ?ʺ On peut avoir un coup de cœur en pensant ʺon verra plus tardʺ comme c’est notre cas avec le ruban Cubes 3D ou être dans le cas d’une réflexion sur un projet précis où l’on joue à accorder les rubans ensemble ou avec les tissus qu’on a déjà. Les rubans peuvent agrémenter une broderie, un ouvrage au patchwork, être l’élément coloré d’un vêtement : bas de manche en surpiqûre d’une veste ou la touche colorée d’une petite robe. C’est en tous les cas, le détail qui fera la différence. A vous de définir la taille de votre détail car les rubans vont de 10mm à 48mm de large. Un bel éventail de réalisations à faire soi-même avec des rubans spécifiques à l’ouvrage ou au choix pour qu’ils correspondent à nos goûts. C’est malin et nous on aime le kit de la trousse Maya.
